YOU KNOW WHAT?
Sometimes, it pays to drop everything, throw together a little comic series pitch, and fly solo out to a comic convention in the UK, powered by a shoestring budget and a dream.
If you’re lucky, you’ll get to hang out with some industry pros.
If you’re really lucky, they’ll let you give them a pitch.
If you’re really really lucky, they’ll read it.
If it’s good, they’ll like it.
And if you’re really really really lucky, you might land a gig.
LOOKS LIKE I’M REALLY REALLY REALLY LUCKY!
Because starting this week, I’m a writing assistant for Stephanie Phillips!
Stephanie is an amazing person and major talent working on all sorts of projects, from Marvel to DC to indie comics and beyond.
I’ll be helping mainly on the indie side with some story outline and script work!
Perhaps you’ve heard of a little series called…
BIG STUFF IS HAPPENING!
I’m extremely excited about this gig. I’ll be getting paid to do the type of stuff I love to do. And on top of that, Steph has made it a point to help me get my own work out there, too!
Here’s a couple more of Stephanie’s books you should check out (including some from my alma mater, DSTLRY!)
And as a bonus, an amazing Grim #21 variant cover by the hot-on-fire Danny Earls!
THANK YOU!
Stay tuned for more exciting updates! :)
